She has been recognized in Mexico and Spain for her research into the use of solutions to prevent reperfusion damage in microsurgical procedures. In May 2007 she received the González Ulloa prize for medical research in Plastic Surgery for her description of a teaching and learning model in cleft lip and palate.

Since her incorporation as a subspecialist in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, she has stood out for her assistance and participation as a speaker in numerous courses and national and international congresses of distinguished associations of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
